Tryouts set to begin next week for Competitive Cheer

Cheer Captures Division 1 Title at Howell Invitational

The varsity cheer squad turned in another strong performance Saturday, winning the Division 1 bracket at the Howell Invitational on Saturday.  The Rockets finished 37 points ahead of the second place Highlanders with a total score of 639.32.  Imlay City won the overall competition with a score of 683.60. Time Change For Cheer Quad At Plymouth

The start time for KLAA competitive cheer quad scheduled at Plymouth High School this Wednesday, January 13 has been pushed back to 7:00 pm due to a facility conflict.  The John Glenn JV and Varsity cheer teams will compete against Plymouth, Canton and Wayne Memorial at this quad.  Come out and support the Rockets!

JV Cheer Dominates Home Match

The JV cheer team won all three rounds of their home competition enroute to their first KLAA win of the season.  The Rockets 172.90 score in Round 1 outpaced Milford (169.40) and South Lyon East (169.30) while they also won Round 2, topping Milford 146.60 to 140.50.  John Glenn was the only JV team to

The varsity competitive cheer team opened the KLAA season with flying colors, winning their home quad featuring Milford, South Lyon East and Walled Lake Central. The Rockets came out strong, winning Round 1 with a score of 201.40.  They continued their strong performance by winning Round 2 with a score of 178.52.  Milford was able

2nd and 3rd place finish at Oak Park Invitational

It was an impressive finish for our Varsity and JV Competitive Cheer teams on December 19th at the Oak Park Invitational finishing 3rd and 2nd respectively.  In their first outing of the season our Varsity competitive cheer team scored a fantastic 205.7 in Round 1, 181.04 in Round 2 and 225.8 in Round 3 for a

Winter All-Sports Meeting Canceled

Due to a scheduling conflict with the Academic Letter Ceremony, the Winter All-Sports Meeting scheduled for Monday, November 23, has been canceled.  There will be no make up date. Parents and student athletes should check with their respective coaches on times and locations for their pre-season parent meetings.

Cheer Conditioning and Pre-tryout Workouts

Cheerleaders interested in competitive cheer can sign up with coach Courtney or Coach Veronica for pre-season workouts.  Times available are Thursday and Friday from 2:30-5:30 and 6:00-??. Cheer Tryout Schedule

Tryouts for competitive season will take place Monday November 9th from 4-7 and Tuesday November 10th from approximately 4- 7 pm.
