Rockets Soar Past Franklin 47-28

The John Glenn defense gave up an early score to Livonia Franklin but the offense roared right back to tie the game on the next possession and the Rockets never looked back enroute to a 47-28 win over the Patriots. Leon Crawford burst through the left side for a 65 yd run and then crashed

Special Teams Shine For JV Football

The John Glenn JV football team suffered a hard fought 16-13 loss to the Churchill Chargers on Thursday.  The Rockets had a couple of great performances from the special teams as Bobby Powell return a 35yard punt return for a TD by Bobby Powell and Josh Mitchell and a 70yard kick return for a touchdown.

Freshman Football Loses Tough Battle

The freshman football team battled for all four quarters but came up short at Livonia Franklin on Thursday afternoon.  The Patriots defeated the Rockets 26-22.

John Glenn vs Churchill

The Rockets lined up once again at the challenging course of Cass Benton Park, this time against the Churchill Chargers. Ben Biber lead the team with a 2nd place finish. Kenyatta Mason achieved a personal record during this race as he continues to improve in his first cross country season.

Girls Swimming & Diving defeat Livonia Ladywood

The Rockets girls swimming and diving team defeat Livonia Ladywood 93-69.  We are still in the middle of intense training and girls are tired, but they came out and swam fast on Thursday, September 11th.  This will help them for the rest of the season and will allow them to swim fast at the Division

On Wednesday, October 1, 2014, Rob Miller from Proactive Coaching will be at Wayne Memorial to present to students, coaches and parents. Tennis Tops Zebras

The John Glenn tennis team earned its first KLAA victory of the season yesterday, defeating cross town rival Wayne Memorial 4-2 at the Zebras home courts. Caleb Woodard got the Rockets on the board as he won his match at 2nd Singles.  Riley Diaz also won at 3 Singles while Kyle Nikula and Steve Gray

Tennis 5th At Wayne Invitational

The John Glenn tennis team finished fifth at the Wayne Invitational on Saturday, marking their highest tournament finish this year.  Coty Diaz (1 Singles), Riley Diaz, (2 Singles) and Caleb Woodard (3 Singles) each won two of their matches in the tournament.  Coty and Riley Diaz both received tournament medals for their performances. Freshmen Football Spotlight #43 Vanessa Romero

Vanessa Romero, #43, is playing her 9th year of football. She plays on the offensive line.  The offensive linemen (linewomen in this case) are the most underrated football players that step on the field.  You have to be tough to play on the offensive line.  Every play you are getting hit.  Hands and arms are getting bruised and legs are burning from pushing

Girls Soccer Meeting On Friday

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in trying out for soccer this upcoming Spring.  the meeting will take place at 2:45 in the cafeteria and Coach Cabildo will provide information on off season workouts.
